Tile & Trim

This is the big window in our master bedroom...all the windows in our room, dining, and living room have this trim, plus most of the doors

Tile has been started in the dining room..looks great with the wall color..will have a nice wide baseboard too

Pantry has shelves!! Love all my storage

Tile in the entryway..not sure I like the accent tile there..thought it was going in our shower. I think the builder was just playing around with it. :)
Tomorrow the granite will be installed in kitchen and bathrooms. Can't wait to see that!

This photo shows our garage door *woo hoo*! The color of the upper siding is our house color and then a nice warm brown will replace the upper siding. :)

This is the window frame that we will have around the main windows (our bedroom, dining & living) plus all the doors that you can see from the hallway and main living areas. Didn't realize it came out so dark on here! It looks very craftsman and will look great!

Here are some more pictures of cabinets and interior paint color..we did a watered down version of Kilim Beige from Sherwin Williams. Hoping that today we will see trim going in and possibly countertop installation scheduled for this upcoming week. :) Yippee! Granite!

Interior doors

So I haven't blogged in a while..Camera was out of batteries tonight so ended up taking pics on Jason's blackberry. As of now we have completed drywall, texture, and interior paint. Went with a beige color..will eventually paint some rooms individually. Most of the interior doors have been hung. Kitchen and bath cabinets went in today and will be trimmed out tomorrow. They look really nice! Should have plenty of storage between my pantry and cabinetry. Our master bath has the standard double vanity plus a tall linen cabinet that will house all our toiletries, towels, etc. Wish the kids' bath had one too, but they will have a linen closet right outside the bathroom anyways. :) Enjoy the pics!

Kitchen drywalled! Looking over the bar into kitchen. Doorway to left goes to laundry room/garage and corner door is the pantry. We are getting taller cabinets to go with our higher ceilings..and a nice crown moulding around the top too. :) Cabinets should be here any day now..can't wait to see those installed.

This photo was taken to show the ceiling height in our living room..the whole house is 9 ft but living and master have a semi vault that extends up to 10 ft. P.S..Justin still isn't touching the ceiling..it's pretty big! Jason is standing in the middle of the living room here. TV will go behind him in the corner..we will eventually get a nice sectional couch to finish off this room

Entry wall- the front door was sent wrong, it will have a rectangle glass insert with 3 long panels the full length of the door..a more 'craftsman' look

We have had a pretty busy summer lately..enjoyed a camping weekend with family, then Jason & I went seperate ways-he on a business trip, me on vacation with the kids to the coast..when we all got back home we had drywall! The garage is fully insulated and sheetrocked as well..a nice bonus from our builder. :) Thanks Lenn! The drywall still needs to be sanded and textured..but will probably be ready for paint in the next few days. :)

Siding is finished

The vertical siding above the entrance and garage will be painted 1 color, and the horizontal siding around the house will be another color. Still trying to figure out what colors..it's a tough choice!

Siding was started about 2 weeks ago. We have concrete Hardi Plank siding which will then be painted.
