Concrete!

Our garage floor, front drive, walkway, and front patio were poured yesterday. They turned out great!

For some reason it loads my pics backwards from the order uploaded..here is the prep photo. :)

Raising the Roof!

Roofing began last week. The roof is now done and siding started today. We just need a few windows installed and exterior doors before sheetrock work can start. I am estimating we should be close to moving in near Sept. 1st so I am going to give our landlord our 30+ day notice soon. It is really happening..I am not excited to start packing, but knowing this is our last move for a LONG time helps!

Windows

The house now has windows in! Next week will be a busy week...rough in electrical, insulation, maybe roof, siding..the list goes on! This is a view from our new living room window!

Justin 'washing up' in our Master bathroom walk in shower. It is about 5 ft wide by 7 ft deep. It will be fully tiled with a small bench under the window, double showerheads, and recessed can lighting. It is definitely a big deal for us..the kids are pretty excited to share showers with us again. :)

This is our front door entry. It is huge! To the left of this shot is the entry closet. To the right will be where I put my entry bench with storage above. We are doing clear glass sidelights and a craftsman style door.

It's a BIG House!

We went on a 3 day camping trip last week. When we left, the exterior and interior walls were partially framed. When we got back, the garage was framed, the roofing was started and it started looking like a HUGE house. :)

We have walls!!

Framers busted this out yesterday! At 11am there were no upright walls and by 4:30 half of the exterior walls were framed

Framing for front door

Not sure if they will work today since it's a holiday weekend, but it'd be great to see the exterior fully framed going into next week. :)

Sub Floor & the beginning of framing!

Saw this beauty hopping around as we headed up our driveway (in our current place)

This is the framing that was layed down ready to go up on our master bedroom north wall. The large space is going to be our huge picture window with a sliding window on each end!

This was taken the night before the sub floor went in..insulation and rough in plumbing. This corner is our master bathroom

Floor Joists

The floor joists went in yesterday and today will hopefully be the subfloor..I am anticipating at least 1 or 2 sides of the house to be framed by the weekend..of course, it is a holiday weekend, so we'll see. :) Here are some pics we took last night checking out the days' work.
